How to Avoid Formation of Kidney Stones’ Problems / Si te shmangim Problemet me Guret ne Veshka

Have you ever suffered the pains of Kidney Stones? They are horrible and can cause very strong trauma to the human body. I’ve seen people screaming up to the sky by kidney stones’ problems and many of them ended in surgery to remove the kidney stones outside of their body. Believe me, this is a huge health problem that is inherited by humanity since ancient times.

I’ve experienced kidney stones problems in my extended family. My uncle suffered from such symptoms. I recall the summers of my childhood, when we used to collect the tails of cherries we consumed at home, dried them up and sent them to my uncle. He prepared a tea of cherry tails and used it as a cure for his kidney stones’ problems. Every time I asked my uncle why was he suffering such problems with his kidneys, he answered: “It is the kidney that produces the stones by itself”. I was very intrigued by his conditions, as no one else in our family was having similar health issues.

As I grew up, I navigated about the kidney stones disease, in order to better understand it and to learn about factors causing such symptoms. I found an article published by Harvard Medical School (see source at the end) explaining in details the phenomena of Kidney Stones. What I found out there, was quite simple and very interesting. There were four types of kidney stones creations: calcium oxalate/calcium phosphate, uric acid, struvite (magnesium ammonium phosphate), and cystine. And all of them could be prevented by keeping the body well-hydrated. I talked to my uncle and found out that the cause of his kidney problems was his attitude to not drink enough liquids especially during cold season. He confessed to me that it was hard for him to drink up to 2.5 liters of liquids on daily basis. The only way he would force himself to do so were the periods he felt pain due to kidney stones.

Considering that there are many other people, I know some of them in person, that find it hard to drink up to 2 liters or more per day, I decided to share with you how I made it possible to train my body to drink over 2 liters of liquids/day all year long (during cold season too). Should you follow my instructions correctly, you too will join the ‘Hydrated & Healthy People Club’ enjoying a healthy and beautiful skin at the same time. Here I go with my little secrets of getting well-hydrated:

  • The first Golden Rule of Hydration: Anytime you are thirsty (or in need to intake liquids in your body), drink one full glass. It will be a bit difficult at the beginning, but as soon as you get used to it, everything is fine. Try not to taste the drink and not to enjoy it slowly … just go ahead and drink it up, possibly all at once. This way you’re giving a ‘direct order’ to your brain and your body to act the same way anytime your body is thirsty.
  • The Second Golden Rule of Hydration: Create a nice combination of drinks during the day, in order to enjoy variety of drinks and tastes. Some ideas are: natural water, fruit teas (Cherry tea, Cornell tea, etc.), herbal teas, freshly squeezed juices (from fruits and vegetables), fresh milk, watered yogurt, etc.
  • The Third Golden Rule of Hydration: Do not use added sugar to your drinks, avoid gas drinks, and avoid counting of alcohol in your daily liquid amount. Keep it healthy and light in order to gain optimal results.

Example for Hydrating Daily Regime

Now, I’ll show you my individual regime for in-taking my daily amount of liquids. I hope it will give you good hints on how to create your own practical routine for body hydration:

I start my day with a glass of natural water, right when I wake up. Then, I have one glass of milk or fruit juice during my breakfast. I drink another glass of natural water while having my first coffee after breakfast. I drink one glass of fruit or herbal tea until lunch time. So, if we write down the score so far: it’s lunch time and I’ve drunk 4 glasses of liquid which equals almost 1 liter and half of my daily objective -:) This first part is not so difficult!

I finish my lunch with another espresso and a glass of natural water. Coming back from work, I have a fresh juice right away (I prefer a combination of squeezed fruits and vegetable, click here for ideas). The remaining 2 – 3 glasses of liquid are consumed during dinner and evening hours. It has been very helpful for me, during the hydrating training process, to make sure I drink half of the daily amount of liquid until lunch time. My advice to you my dear friends is to start drinking your liquids as soon as you wake up.

Sorting out of the hydration challenge, is key for preventing creation of kidney stones and has other important benefits for your health too. The global warming is going to make the necessity of hydration in humans ever bigger and will need more attention for it from all of us living on earth.

Keni vuajtur ndonjehere nga dhimbjet e Gureve ne Veshka? Jane vertet te tmerrshme dhe mund te shkaktojne trauma te forta ne trupin e njeriut. Une kam qene deshmitare e situatave kur njerez, qe i kishin zene dhimbjet e veshkave ulerisnin deri ne kupe te qiellit dhe perpeliteshin pafund nga dhimbjet. Shumica e tyre kane perfunduar neper operacione per heqjen e gureve nga veshkat. Me besoni kur ju them se guret ne veshka jane nje problem serioz shendetesor dhe, per fatin e keq, i trasheguar nga njerezimi qe nga kohet antike (arkeologet kane gjetur gure ne veshka tek mumjet e Egjiptit).

Une kam patur raste te semundjes se gureve ne veshka brenda familjes time. Daja im vuan nga formimi i gureve ne veshka, por per fatin e tij te mire mbetet deri te guret e vegjel qe dalin permes urines. Gjate femijerise me kujtohet se cdo vere ne grumbullonim me kujdes te gjithe bishtat e qershive, qe konsumonim ne shtepi dhe pasi i thanim ia conim dajes. Ai pergatiste nje caj me bishtat e qershive dhe e pinte ne forme kure per te shkrire guret ne veshka. Sa here une e pyesja dajen se perse veshkat e tij krijonin gure, ai me pergjigjej: “Eshte vete lloji i veshkes qe prodhon gure”. Gjithmone me ka intriguar ky problem i tij shendetesor, pasi asnje tjeter ne familjen tone nuk vuan nga guret ne veshka.

Kur u rrita, fillova te kerkoja me shume informacion ne lidhje me semundjen e gureve ne veshka, pasi doja te mesoja me shume rreth saj dhe te kuptoja cilet ishin faktoret qe shkaktonin semundjen. Gjeta nje artikull te publikuar nga Harvard Medical School (Shkolla Mjekesore e Harvard-it), ku shpjegohej ne detaje ky fenomen shendetesor. Informacioni i shkruar ne artikull ishte sa i thjeshte aq edhe interesant. Studimet tregojne se ekzistojne 4 lloje te gureve ne veshka: guret me permbajtje kalciumi, ato me acid urik, guret strutive (magnez-amonium-fosfat) dhe cystine. Shkaqet e formimit te tyre variojne, por qe te gjithe llojet e gureve ne veshka mund te parandalohen nese individi arrin te ruaje nivele te mira hidratimi ne trup. Pra, si shkak i perbashket i formimit te gureve ne veshka eshte niveli i pamjaftueshem i lengjeve, qe individet pijne cdo dite. Me kete informacion te ri, vajta te konsultoja situaten e dajes tim dhe zbulova se shkaktari i vetem i semundjes se tij ishte vete Ai. Mesa duket daja im, nuk ka vullnetin e duhur per te konsumuar 2 – 2.5 lt lengje ne dite. Ai m’u ‘ankua’ se nuk arrinte dot te pinte aq shume lengje, pervecse kur e kapnin krizat e veshkave dhe atehere ishte i detyruar te pinte cajrat per shkrirjen e tyre. Situata e tij veshtiresohej sidomos gjate dimrit ku sasia e lengjeve qe konsumon eshte teper minimale (me pak se 1 lt lengje/dite).

Une njoh shume njerez, te cilet e kane te veshtire te konsumojne sasine ditore te lengjeve prej 2 litrash te rekomanduar nga mjeket. Prandaj, vendosa te ndaj sot me ju se si une arrita ta ‘trainoj’ trupin tim per te konsumuar me shume se 2 litra lengje/dite gjate gjithe vitit (edhe gjate stines se ftohte). Nese do zbatoni me korrektesi ‘rregullat’ e mia, jam e sigurte se edhe ju do i bashkoheni “Klubit te Personave te mire-hidratuar e te shendetshem”. Ja ku po filloj me sekretet e mia te vogla ne lidhje me hidratimin:

  • Rregulli I i Arte per Hidratimin: Sa here qe ndjeni etje (pra keni nevoje per lengje ne trup), pini nje gote te tere me leng. Ne fillim do e keni pak te veshtire, por do e shihni se shume shpejt do mesoheni dhe cdo gje do jete ne rregull. Keshille: Mundohuni te mos e shijoji ate qe pini … thjesht kalojeni poshte, mundesisht me nje fryme, te gjithen njeheresh. Ne kete menyre ju i coni trurit dhe trupit tuaj nje ‘urdher te drejtperdrejte’ sesi duhet te veprojne gjithe kohes ne situata etje.
  • Rregulli II i Arte per Hidratimin: Krijo nje kombinim te mire te lengjeve qe do konsumoni gjate dites. Kjo do ndihmoje qe t’i pini me lehte, pasi e ben me te pelqyeshem idene e shijimit te shijeve te ndryshme gjate dites. Disa ide jane: uje natyral, cajra nga frutat (Caj Qershije, Caj Thanash, etj.), cajra bimore (nga bime mjekesore apo ereza te ndryshme), lengje te fresketa (frutash dhe perimesh), qumesht, dhalle, etj.
  • Rregulli III i Arte per Hidratimin: Mos perdorni sheqer te shtuar ne pijet tuaja, shmangni pijet e gazuara, si edhe mos e llogarisni alkolin si pjese te sasise tuaj ditore te lengjeve, qe duhen marre. Per te patur rezultate optimale, mbajini pijet tuaj te shendetshme dhe te lehta.

Shembull i nje Regjimi Ditor per Hidratimin

Per ta konkretizuar zbatimin e tre rregullave te arta per hidratimin, do ndaj me ju regjimin tim ditor per marrjen e sasise se duhur te lengjeve. Shpresoj qe shembulli im do iu ndihmoje te merrni ide per te krijuar nje rutine tuajen ditore per hidratimin e trupit.

Une e filloj diten me nje gote uje natyral, sapo ngrihem nga gjumi. Gjate ngrenies se mengjesit konsumoj nje gote qumesht te fresket ose nje gote leng frutash te fresket te porsa-shtrydhur. Nje gote tjeter me uje natural e konsumoj bashke me kafene e mengjesit. Deri ne kohen e drekes konsumoj edhe nje gote caj bimor (ne dimer te nxehte, ndersa ne vere te ftohte). Keshtu, nese do i numerojme gotat deri ne kete moment, behet fjale qe para drekes une kam konsumuar 4 gota lengje, qe i perafrohen 1 litri lengje, ose gjysma e sasise ditore te synuar. Kjo pjese e pare nuk eshte edhe aq e veshtire!

Pasi ha dreke, une konsumoj edhe nje ekspres (kafe) tjeter te shoqeruar serisht me nje gote uje natyral. Kur kthehem nga puna ne shtepi, pi edhe nje gote leng te shtrydhur (preferoj nje kombinim te frutave me perime, kliko ketu per nje ide). Pjesen e mbetur te sasise se lengjeve prej 2-3 gota i konsumoj gjate darkes dhe gjate oreve te mbremjes. Gjate trainimit te trupit per hidratimin, me ka ndihmuar shume fakti qe gjysmen e sasise se lengjeve une e konsumoj ne oret e para te dites. Prandaj, keshilla ime per ju miq te dashur eshte: Filloni konsumoni pijet tuaja sapo zgjoheni ne mengjes.

Celesi per parandalimin e formimit te gureve ne veshka eshte te fitoni sfiden per hidratimin e mire te trupit. Pervec shmangies se gureve ne veshka, ju do keni edhe perfitime te tjera (si psh. nje lekure me te fresket e me te bukur). Fenomeni i ngrohjes globale ndikon negativisht ne hidratimin e trupit njerezor, ndaj nje kujdes i shtuar i duhet dhene ketij procesi nga cdo banor i tokes.
