How to make Unbelievably Great Milk Pie

This is one of Grandma Xheni’s preferred recipes. It is easier to prepare in nowadays as we find the baked foils in almost every shop. Let’s start with the recipe:


  • 1 packet of prepared baked foils
  • 5 eggs
  • 1.5 liter of fresh milk
  • 100 gr of unsalted butter
  • salt

Melt dhe butter and lubricate the pie-pan we shall use for the pie. Open the baked foils and check if they are of good quality (should be well baked and with normal color). Place the baked foil right next to the pie-pan. In a bowl, break the eggs, add little salt and mix well until is uniform. Add cold milk and continue mixing until the mixture is uniform.

Tear one piece of baked foil, randomly by hand, and plunge it into the liquid mixture. Take it out and place it in the pie-pan. Repeat the procedure until the end of pie-pan is fully covered with bedewed baked foils. With the help of kitchen brush, lubricate it with melted butter. Continue the procedure with other baked foils and lubricate any time two full layers are placed in the pie-pan. Spur the remaining of liquid mixture all around the pie-pan. Lubricate well the top part of the pie as it helps to make it nice and crispy. Bake the pie for 45 minutes at 200. But, as chefs say: “You know your oven”. Let the pie bake until is ready (as shown in the photo).

Allow the pie to cool a bit and nicely cut it in pieces. Attention! Use a kitchen spatula to take out nicely the pieces of Milk Pie. You may enjoy it with a cup of refreshing yogurt with sheep’s milk.

Cómo hacer Pastel de Leche Increíblemente Genial

Esta es una de las recetas preferidas de la abuela Xheni. Pastel de Leche es más fácil de preparar hoy en día, ya que encontramos láminas horneadas en casi todas las tiendas. Comencemos con la receta:


  • 1 paquete de láminas al horno preparadas
  • 5 huevos
  • 1,5 litro de leche fresca
  • 100 gr de mantequilla sin sal
  • sal


Derrita la mantequilla y lubrique el molde para pastel que usaremos para el pastel. Abra las láminas al horno y verifique si son de buena calidad (deben estar bien horneadas y con un color normal). Coloque el papel aluminio al horno justo al lado del molde para pasteles. En un tazón, rompa los huevos, agregue un poco de sal y mezcle bien hasta que esté unificado. Agregue leche fría y continúe mezclando hasta que la preparación sea uniforme.

Rasgue una pieza de papel de aluminio horneado, al azar a mano, y sumérjala en la mezcla líquida. Sácalo y colócalo en el molde para pastel. Repita el procedimiento hasta que el extremo del molde para pasteles esté completamente cubierto con láminas horneadas con cuentas. Con la ayuda de un cepillo de cocina, lubríquelo con mantequilla derretida.

Continúe el procedimiento con otras láminas horneadas y lubrique cada vez que se colocan dos capas completas en el molde para pasteles. Espolvoree la mezcla líquida restante alrededor del molde para pastel. Lubrique bien la parte superior del pastel, ya que ayuda a que quede agradable y crujiente. Hornee el pastel durante 45 minutos a 200. Pero, como dicen los chefs: “Conoces tu horno”. Deje que el pastel se hornee hasta que esté listo (como se muestra en la foto).

Deja que la tarta se enfríe un poco y córtala bien en porciones. ¡Atención! Usa una espátula de cocina para sacar muy bien los trozos de Pastel de Leche. Puede disfrutarlo con una taza de yogurt refrescante de leche de oveja.

Esta receta es ideal como primer plato, en este caso, la cortaremos en trozos más pequeños. Es ideal para picnics y viajes. A los niños también les gusta mucho.
